When & Where:
On Tuesday, December 11, the 7th grade Team Typhoon students and their chaperones will be traveling to the Cleveland Playhouse Square to enjoy a presentation of the Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol. All seventh grade language arts classes will be reading a play adaptaion of it during late November and early December as part of our curriculum.

Times Departing & Returning:
We will be leaving Nordonia Middle School by school bus at approximately 9:45am, and we will be returning to school at approximately 2:00pm. The presentation should begin about 11:00am and end around 12:30pm. We will be coming straight back to the middle school after the performance.

Breakfast & Lunch:
As you can see, the travel and show times span across our lunchtime. If we were to stop for lunch, we may not be able to return in time for dismissal. In an attempt to resolve this issue, prior to our leaving for Cleveland, the students will be escorted to the middle school cafeteria for an opportunity to purchase a well-prepared breakfast. The Nordonia Middle School kitchen staff plans to prepare breakfast sausage sandwiches, and will have orange juice, milk, muffins, bagels and donuts for sale. We would like everyone to have something to eat before we leave. Breakfast items cost between $0.50 and $1.50. Students may bring money or use their cafeteria accounts. Students who qualify for the reduced cost lunch may buy breakfast at a lower price; students who qualify for a free lunch will receive breakfast at no cost. After the show, teachers will distribute a small snack to students to tide them over until it’s time to go home.

Cost:
Tickets for the show are $13.00. When combined with the cost of transportation and snack, the cost to students will be $20.00 for the entire field trip. If you consent and give permission to your child(ren) to attend this field trip, please complete the permission slip below and send it back to school in an envelope with your child on or before Monday, October 15th. Please also include a check payable to “Nordonia Middle School” for $20.00. Cash may also be accepted. Receipts will be sent back (through the student) for all cash payments. Tickets are nonrefundable.
